Alasdair Gray, writer, painter and illustrator, described by Anthony Burgess as the greatest Scottish writer since Walter Scott and by Will Self as the greatest living British writer will hold 2 readings in Verona.

•Sunday 20 March at 16.30 is a charity event  promoted by ALLSI in favour of the Tongabezi Trust School, Zambia  and supported by Azienda Agricola Marchesi Fumanelli, Mondadori and Marcos Y Marcos.  Tickets are limited to 100 and cost €50. Venue: Villa Marchesi Fumanelli in Valpolicella. Buffet, fine wines and Celtic music.
